May 21st: Resource Fair for Seniors

Within Arden Arcade, a little over 22% of the adult population is composed of senior citizens. For Carmichael, the figure is 26%. The Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District will be holding a Resource Fair for seniors on May 21st from 9am-1pm at the Gibbons Community Center, 4701 Gibbons Drive. It is a free event. When the farmlands of Arden Arcade were developed after WWII, the County (naturally) failed to anticipate the need for parks and open space to serve the rapidly-growing suburban community.
