The Sacramento Suburban Water District is exploring potential mergers with the Del Paso Manor Water District and with the Carmichael District. To be very clear for our readers, no consolidations are planned at this time. What's going on are discussions: one between the Del Paso Manor Water District and the Sacramento Suburban Water District and another between the Sacramento Suburban Water District and the Carmichael Water District (See Item 3 of this link). The participating districts have what they call 2x2 arrangements whereby each district has assigned two of its Board Members to have meetings with the other district's two Board Members. Members of the public who are interested in the progress of those discussions are encouraged to contact the districts' General Managers and Board members:

• Del Paso Manor Water District (GM Alan Gardner, 2x2 Board Members w/ SSWD Carl Dolk and Ryan Saunders)
• Sacramento Suburban Water District (GM Dan York, 2x2 Board Members w/ DPMWD Jay Boatwright and Robert Wichert, 2x2 Board Members w/ CWD Craig Locke and David Jones).
